I'll once again be braving the elements and spending one night sleeping out so others don't have to.

This year I'll be doing it alongside my daughter who at nine years of age is ready to take on the challenge with me!

Every year when March comes round I think can I do this another year, then I look at the number of lives that have been changed because of the funds we raise at events such as Sleep Easy and quickly press that button to sign up.

Last year, out of 272 people we housed within 12 months;

- 88 moved on to live independently

- 61 entered formal education

- 7 went to university

- 74 were supported to gain a job interview

- 59 gained employment.

Each night our YMCA provides housing and support for 225 individuals. Supporting young people to move along their positive pathway and enter education, gain employment and move on to independent living.

I've had the pleasure this year of seeing many individuals achieve their dreams, we've had young people progress to University we've had residents gain employment and many moving on to live independently.

Lives quite simply are transformed as a result of the work we do at YMCA Derbyshire and I feel honoured to once again be doing my bit to try and raise vital funds to provide support to those who need it most.

So I know I ask every single year but if you could spare anything to help support us to brave the elements we'd appreciate it so much!
