If you know me, you know I've grown out, cut, and donated my hair every 2-or-so years since I was in high school! I'm continuing the tradition this year in medical school- with a twist!

This year, I'll be partnering with Geaux Bald, a student fundraising organization run by second-year medical students at LSU Health Shreveport. This year, funds from Geaux Bald will go towards Camp Tiger, a free, five-day camp for children and teens ages 5 to 18 years old living with physical and cognitive challenges! I had the opportunity to volunteer with Camp Tiger this past summer, and it was such a fun experience!

Shave Day, serves as the culminating celebration after a fun-filled year of fundraising, where some of our fundraising students will honor patients by shaving their heads and/or cutting their hair for a donation. I'm planning to continue the tradition of the chop and donate my hair to Children With Hair Loss!
