Story
I am running the London Marathon this year to raise money for St John Ambulance.
I decided to run for St John Ambulance after researching different news stories for work. The charity kept cropping up at multiple events and occasions, highlighting the high level of activity and presence SJA has in the local community.
The charity does brilliant work in communities, educating and saving lives.
This is my first ever marathon and I am really excited to be able to take on this challenge for such a worthy cause.
If you are able to, please consider donating to my fundraising page - thank you so so much!!!
St John Ambulance:
We are the charity that steps forward in the moments that matter, to save lives and keep communities safe. We are a market leader in the provision of workplace training, first aid supplies, and event and ambulance services.
It is only with your help that we can continue to help keep communities safe.
How SJA uses funds:
£25 - could help a young person save the life of a loved one.
St John’s Badger and Cadet groups for young people aged 7 to 18 develop confident and competent young people prepared to step up in emergencies and save lives; many go on to become adult volunteers or take up a career in the health service.
£50 - could help us kit out our volunteers
Help us kit out our volunteers with the equipment needed to treat sick and injured people.
£100 - could help us respond quickly to emergencies
Your support could be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. Ensuring our logistics volunteers can make available essential first aid supplies when and where they are needed and our communications operators can get messages to and from the front line. We constantly invest in these people and the kit they need.
£250 - will support the future of St John Ambulance’s work
Your support will enable us to invest in our vehicles and volunteer workforce, as we continue to be the nation’s leading community health and first aid charity.
