I’m taking on the London Marathon in April 2024 to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. I will have just turned 50 so want to celebrate my half century by taking on this daunting challenge, and raise money for the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing support.

Both my mum and mum-in-law have had breast cancer and I want to ensure that the charity continues to fund the vital research and support so that there is hope for the future for everyone affected by breast cancer.

It’s quite terrifying but so is facing breast cancer so I’m going to put on my big-girl pants and train hard, inspired by those running in team BCN who have faced their own diagnosis.

I’ll be inviting friends and family to my fundraising birthday bash on 6 April so hope as many of you as possible can join me to celebrate and make a difference. More on that soon.
