Story
It might be a stretch to call it a trademark, but my long hair has been with me for a while at least. Many of you have only know me with these luscious locks…but it all must go!
I’ve been plotting a restyle for a while (I’ve had a bit on my plate) so I thought why not try to do some good at the same time! So this is my effort.
I’m hoping to raise £500 on behalf of Flag Lane Baths in Crewe. If I hit that target my hair will come off. It’s an incredibly worthy cause and one that is close to my heart. Why? It combines some of my favourite things: community; architecture; regeneration; and there’s even a coffee shop in there somewhere! It’s also a project I’m proud to have contributed to in the past, so to play a further part would be very rewarding.
The former swimming baths on Flag Lane are an architectural gem in the heart of the community in Crewe. The building has been saved from dilapidation and potential demolition by Always Ahead, the charity at the helm of its regeneration.
With proposals to restore what was once a public building back into a community hub, the project will be a fantastic asset to those living in and around Crewe. The hub includes: a large event and theatre space in the main pool; co-working desks; facilities for young people; local history gallery; start-up commercial units; a new park; and more!
Times are hard but please do donate what you can to help bring this project to life!
