In 2025, two of my Explorers, are headed off on foreign trips; Erica is going on an Explorer Belt Expedition to Austria and Liv is heading to The Brekkulegan Faroe Islands event.

To raise some funds, I have devised a challenge of my own - running an Ultramarathon between the two great West of Scotland Scout centres - Lochgoilhead in Argyll and Auchengillan just north of Glasgow, on Saturday 3rd May 2025.

This 70km route will take me over the Cowal Way to Ardgartan, then through Arrochar, along the West Loch Lomond Cycle Path and finally from Balloch along the John Muir Way to Auchengillan.

To my knowledge, no one has attempted this route before. I will be supported by a great team on the route, and I am looking forward to getting into Auchengillan to a big barbeque with all my Explorers, but the main thing is to raise lots of money to support my Explorers with their foreign trips.
