In an emergency, every second counts. When disaster strikes, the first few hours are critical. Our Emergencies Fund helps us to rapidly respond and give people the help they so urgently need, in the UK and overseas.

Story

In a week when there has been much to celebrate in school with all members of our community coming together to challenge their limits, we have been very aware of the hardship and suffering caused by the earthquake in Morocco, 45 miles southwest of Marrakech, and the floods in north-eastern Libya. We will be reflecting on these devastating events with a special assembly in school on Friday as we mark the close of Challenge Your Limits week, and we shall be encouraging all members of the Godolphin community to show their support for those affected.

The British Red Cross has launched an emergency appeal to provide vital ongoing support to people in these regions including search and rescue, first aid and medical assistance, and the provision of food, water, and shelter. We hope that our community will give generously to support the local teams on the ground.
