We help the architectural community to rebuild their lives

Story

For many years now, GIA’s chosen charity has been the Architects Benevolent Society, with whom we work through our own W B Whitie Benevolent Fund, and whom we support through the GIA Dinner Raffle.

This year, we have a very special list of prizes since a number of supporters have chosen to donate bespoke artworks.

Contributors include RIAS Past-Presidents Gordon Murray, Robin Webster, and Willie Watt; Past ABS Ambassadors Angus Kerr and Michael Dougall; Judi Keith-Brown, Past President New Zealand Institute of Architects; and Niall Murphy, Director of Glasgow City Heritage Trust.

Representing the construction industry is David James of BAM, who has donated a lovely drawing of Dean Castle in Kilmarnock (pictured), and artist illustrators Marion Gardyne and Allistair Burt are once again making generous donations of their work.

Gordon Murray has also kindly donated a superb line drawing by the late Gordon Smith (for many years Chair of APEAS and RIAS Education Convenor) whose depiction of Burradon Pit in Northumberland was produced in 1977.

This is your chance to own a drawing, print or watercolour by an extraordinarily talented group of GIA colleagues: please dig deep in support of ABS!

Please include your name when you make your generous donation, to be entered into the raffle prize draw.
