The Child's Advocate, a project of Legal Aid, provides attorneys in Wake and Durham counties for children caught in contentious custody disputes.

Most of our child clients are experiencing: domestic violence; child abuse or mistreatment; substance abuse; mental instability of a parent; relocation of a parent; their own special needs; refusing to visit with a parent; or their gender presentation or sexual orientation are at issue.
