We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. This year, I'm taking on my biggest challenge yet - the Thames Path Challenge 2024. It's not just one marathon, but approximately 2 and a half marathons, and I'm determined to complete it within 24 hours. I'll be starting from Putney on Saturday, September 14th, and aiming to reach Henley in the early hours of Sunday morning, if not before! I've chosen to support Diabetes UK because both of my sons are Type 1 diabetics. They have to check their blood sugar levels throughout the day and inject insulin at every mealtime. It's been a tough journey for them, especially dealing with seizures. As a parent, it's heart-wrenching to see them go through this. If I could swap places with them, I would in a heartbeat. Since that's not possible, the best thing I can do is offer my support and help raise funds and awareness for this cause. Diabetes UK is tirelessly working towards finding a cure, and I hope that day comes soon so that my boys can lead normal lives 🙏.

Sorry I left one small part of information out, I am hoping to be pushing by trustee toilet / bog form Putney to Henley. Far too easy without!! 😂🤣
