Story
Hi fans, friends and people way down my contact list. A bunch of us old Croydon blokes regularly go to the lakes to replenish our souls, do yoga, reminisce about the old times and put the world to rights. It never happens though, it usually descends into beer, getting lost and bickering. We've now decided to something sensible with our time up there and are taking part in the amazing Race to the Sun at Lake Conistion for the children's charity Action Medical Research.
This somewhat risky decision means we will be cycling 23 miles around Conistion, struggling 5 miles up and down the Old Man of Coniston and finishing with a 2 mile canoe actually on Lake Coniston.
Some of us are fitter than others, some of us have more hair than others, but we are all excited by the challenge so please support us.
We are racing in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research. They have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.
By supporting our team you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
Thank you so much for your support.
