We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

Sadly, my uncle passed away recently after a brave battle with cancer, and I would love to celebrate his music that inspires our magical classes by putting on special classes dedicated to him and raise money for Brain Tumour Research.

All the music used in the classes will be Guy's on what would have been his 68th birthday on 14th April.

Guy & His Music

We dance to many of my Uncle’s tracks in class, everyone’s favourite “Good Toes point, clap, clap, clap... “ our tip toe walks, runs and even our marches. As I look around the room during class, all I can see is how happy his music makes our little dancers and I feel super proud to be using his music.

Dancing and music runs in the family. Whilst my Mum was at her dancing school in Oldham, it was her older brother (Uncle Guy) who accompanied her ballet classes at just 13 yrs! Guy is now renowned amongst dance teachers and many use his music all over the world.

I have been dancing to his music all of my life, from starting ballet at 3yrs at his wife’s dance school (he married a ballerina!), to teaching to it every day since I became a ballet teacher. Uncle Guy lives on through his music and it’s an honour to dance and share this with you at each class!

Thank you for your support!

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
