Story
In October 2024 I am taking on a trek to Vietnam to raise vital funds for SSAFA and also to challenge myself physically and mentally. Many will know of some of the mental health struggles I have been facing, and so I am determined to do something worthwhile during my career break that will benefit myself and all of the people that SSAFA serve.
This expedition will involve trekking 93kms through some difficult terrain and staying in remote regions in October. It’s fair to say that this is way out of my comfort zone! I’d therefore really love you to support me with any amount that’s possible.
Here’s some info about SSAFA and the amazing work they do:
SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. In 2022 our trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 59,000 people, including veterans, serving personnel (regulars and reserves) and their families.
SSAFA understands that behind every uniform is a person. And we are here for that person and their family, any time they need us and in any way they need us.
As Andrew is also a veteran, I have seen the amazing work that SSAFA do and so am keen to support them in their endeavours.
