Story
Beresford Street kitchen is a social enterprise providing education, training and employment for people with learning disabilities and/or autism. They provide 11,000 workplace training sessions a year, each one costing £15. Since becoming a part of BSK our crew have reported a 21% increase in life satisfaction.
We want to help BSK continue providing these incredible opportunities.
Georgie's Story - I have worked at BSK for 5 years and have loved every minute, I could not ask for a more rewarding and inspiring job. Being part of the crew's journey, seeing how far they have come and the positive impact BSK has had on their lives means the world to me. I have persuaded many people to put on a fundraiser for BSK, so now it is time I did just that. Those that know me, know I don't do things by halves, so I have decided to take on my biggest fear; a parachute jump!!!
Andrews Story - We drafted in BSK to do the catering for our Roast Beef charity drinks reception held at Government House in June and I left the reception so enriched by the energy, enthusiasm and smiles that come from the BSK team. I am delighted to be doing my first skydive in support of this wonderful charity and I am equally delighted that I helped rope Georgie into jumping as well! Do come and support us on the day and I am looking forward to smiles all round from the BSK team as we take the plunge. Thank you for supporting BSK on their 5th anniversary and for years to come.
Thank you for taking time to read this, now we just ask for one more favour. Please can you spare a few pennies by sponsoring us, so that we can help this incredible charity continue to do what they do so well! £8000 will provide 530 workplace training sessions to the crew. There are so few opportunities for people with learning disabilities and/or autism in Jersey, so we need to get behind BSK so that they will be around for many years to come.
