Story
Hello lovely friends and family.
On April 21 I will be attempting to run the London Marathon - the equivalent distance of Brentwood to Balham - for Sense International.
SI is a fantastic charity that supports people with deafblindness and their families across 8 countries - Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Romania, Peru, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. Please do read more about them here https://www.senseinternational.org.uk/ or watch videos telling the stories of just a few of some of the children they've supported on SI's YouTube channel
Whilst I like running, I am very much more of a 5km-plod-through-the-park-in-the-summer kinda gal. Turns out 26 miles is much further than it seemed when I signed up, and I can confirm I am already very over doing intervals round Tooting Common in sub-zero rain (see picture). But I will be training very hard for Sense International over the next few months - not to mention likely destroying my teeth in the process through excessive consumption of dextrose.
Thank you very much indeed for supporting me and Sense International in advance.
