Story
In 2024 I am running the Great North Run in honour of my Brother Jordan, who we sadly lost in August 2023. Jordan was a huge advocate for the Great North Air Ambulance service, and they also assisted massively on our final days with him.
Losing Jordan impacted so many people in different ways. I still suffer everyday and it doesn’t seem real. In honour of Jordan’s memory and the life he led, it would mean a lot to show our support to GNAAS.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident, whether on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre.
The charity responded to more than 1,600 call-outs last year via their helicopter and rapid response vehicles, performing treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
