Story
To my friends and family.
I would like to thank you for checking out my fundraising page to begin with!
With my 30th birthday coming up… eeeeek!! On the 19th of October, I have decided to take part in this years Royal Parks Half Marathon to support and raise money for the MND association (ALS) with hopefully a bottle of champagne waiting at the finish line… (anyone coming to watch, please take note 😉)
As many of you know I lost my Mummy in November 2019 to MND after loosing my Dad to stage for lung cancer September 2018. We sadly also lost my precious Auntie Janet, Mums sister also to the same disease October 2019.
So as my crazy mind works, I’ve decided to celebrate this way!
My mum was at the front of every dance show, swimming gala and standing at the end of every long distance race I ran screaming and chanting for me, so this year I’m doing this especially for you Mama ❤️
So on the 19th of October, I would love to encourage anyone to cheers a toast to my beautiful parents who I miss so so much, as they will have a 30 year old daughter who strives everyday on making them proud.
Thank you for you taking the time to read my story. As a birthday wish any contribution you can make towards this charity would mean the world to me and please pass on link 🫶🏼
I have also attached some pictures to the gallery with some memories 💌
What happens to your body with MND!?
Read below
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.
MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order.
Although there is currently no cure for MND, symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life.
