I can’t believe it’s been a year since we first took part in our first starlight walk, over a year since my wonderful husband, my best friend and the most incredible father to his three beautiful children left. East Cheshire hospice will forever hold a very special place in our hearts- our home away from home, our safe place when our world was falling apart.

A couple of months ago we drove past a poster for the starlight walk and Ruby said to me- mummy we did that for the Nurses. I said that’s right we did. She said can we do it again Mummy? They looked after my Daddy and I want to help the Nurses. I was obviously planning on doing this anyway but our beautiful, kind, caring and very appreciative little girl is just as grateful for everything that the incredible team at East Cheshire Hospice did for us all and especially her Daddy and even though she was only 2 and a half she still remembers the special moments we shared at the hospice and knows that her Daddy was so well looked after. This year myself, Ruby, my parents and Hannah and Arlo are all taking part in the starlight walk. It is a beautiful evening which we will spend remembering an incredible man but also saying thank you to everyone for their support during our most challenging times- there will never be enough that we can do to show you just how much we appreciate everything they did for us as a family but this incredible charity need £7500 a day just to do what they do so far we haven’t even kept it open for a day but every penny absolutely counts so please if you can donate anything at all it would be very much appreciated.
