Story

On the 8th June 2024, I will be taking part in the Brain Tumour Research 'Jump for Hope'. Meaning I will be doing a Sky dive from 10,000 ft which absolutely terrifies me! However, I am facing my fears to raise vital funds and recognition of this awful disease.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer and just 12% survive beyond five years. These terrible statistics, along with devastating stories of loved ones affected by brain tumours, mean that it is important that we work together to #FundTheFight and help raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research.

My cousin Finn unfortunately had a bleed on the brain at only 12 years old, he received incredible care and support and is now fighting fit which myself and my family are so grateful for. The outcome could've been so different.

Sadly, Tom Parker from The Wanted (A band I dedicated my teenage years too and followed / loved for so long) lost his life to a Brain Tumour at the mere age of 33. Seeing his story and realising the awful affects brain tumours cause for the first time made me realise the sheer lack of funding / awareness of this horrendous illness. The symptoms are awful and take hold very quickly and sadly prognosis is never great.

By taking on this Jump for Hope, I hope to raise vital funds and awareness to help find a cure for this awful illness.
