The English Channel swim is often regarded as the aquatic equivalent of climbing Mount Everest, as more individuals have conquered the famous peak than have completed the Channel swim.

Story

Alison, Charlotte and Ilse are (hopefully 🤪) swimming to France!! Update: Our team is now complete and others swimming in ‘Just Keep Swimming’ team are Jon, Alexandra and Luke. Our pilot is called Simon and our boat is named ‘High Hopes’. I will share a live link on the day of our swim (hopefully 🤞on 18th) so you can follow our progress. Thank you to all for your generosity xx

In memory of my daughter Georgia I am tackling another challenge with my lovely friends Alison Brown - Webb and Charlotte Ivory. In my daughter’s memory we will continue to help other children from dying. We have to raise £1800 each to qualify, so if you are able to spare a few pounds that would be amazeballs!!

A 6-Channel Relay….. France here we come!! Our crossing window is between 18-26th August depending on tides / weather conditions. We have passed our medical tests and successfully completed our qualifying swims. We also had some relay boat training/swimming in Dover last weekend.

Raising money for SwimTayka, who believes that every child should have the opportunity to learn how to swim and how to care for the water they live near. Swimming is not only a life skill that can prevent drowning, but also a source of joy, health, and confidence. Environmental education is not only a way to foster respect and appreciation for nature, but also a way to empower communities to tackle the challenges of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.

If you can spare a little bit of money to support us, Alison and I will forever be grateful. Thanks for taking the time to visit SwimTayka’s JustGiving page. I really appreciate it!!
