Story
If you know me on a personal level you know I have been living with dilated cardiomyopathy which is a disease of the heart muscle which makes the muscle walls become stretched and thin (dilated). The thinner walls are weakened, this means the heart can't squeeze (contract) properly to pump blood to the rest of the body.
I am running this race to prove even someone like me who suffers with a heart disease can live an active life so there is no excuse!
This race will be twice as hard for me due to my condition but all I can do is give it my all.
I didn’t know but every week in the UK, at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people tragically lose their lives to undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
CRY is dedicated to reducing the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working closely with cardiologists and family doctors. They establish good practice and screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY, you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. Your donation will go directly towards funding vital research, education programs, and support services for affected families.
Please help me raise money and any funds given will be greatly appreciated.
