Story
Thanks for supporting our fundraising.
Last year both Rob and I lost one of our parents each to cancer. Robs dad George Snodgrass sadly passed away 8th April 2022 and my mum Patricia Senior on 7th October 2022. Our bestie Steve who will be doing the walk with us also lost his brother Graham to cancer in May 2019. Although they all have left a big hole in our lives we know they would have wanted to live life to the full and carry on as normal as possible.
During their battles with cancer the local Macmillan nurses were nothing short of amazing so we decided to do this challenge in George, Pat and Graham's memory but also to raise valuable funds for Macmillan Cancer Support charity.
Every penny does actually help so if you could spare a little something you can be assured it is going to a fantastic cause and will be greatly appreciated.
Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe, JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
We have sponsor forms should you wish to donate in cash. Get in touch and we will be able to sort this out too.
Can I also thank my fellow fundraisers Robert Snodgrass, Ryan Snodgrass, Steve Goodyear, Leah Senior and Anna Senior for doing this. I hope you realise how hard carrying me the final 23 miles will be :-)
