Running the 2025 London Marathon in Memory of Brian

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters
In April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon in honour of my dear father Brian, who recently lost his battle with cancer. The journey I'm embarking on is a tribute to Brian, and also a commitment to helping others who are facing the same devastating illness.
Why I’m Running
Cancer is a cruel and relentless disease. Watching my father fight with such courage and grace was both heartbreaking and inspiring. Despite the pain, he remained strong, always focusing on the brighter side of life and the love of those around him. His strength during this time showed everyone around him the true meaning of resilience, and now I want to channel that same strength into something positive.
I was desperate for Brian to see me cross the finishing line, but it's not to be. But he knew I had a place and which charity I was running for. He was very pleased, as he developed a passion for helping fight cancer in whichever way he could.
How You Can Help?
Running 26.2 miles is a daunting challenge, but it pales in comparison to the fight that cancer patients endure every day. I am determined to cross that finish line, knowing that each step is for my dad and for everyone else who has been touched by cancer. But I can’t do this alone—I need your support.
I am aiming to raise £2,500 for World Cancer Research Fund, and I would be incredibly grateful for any contribution you can make. Whether it’s a small donation or simply sharing this page with others, every bit helps and brings us closer to a future where no one has to suffer the way my father did.
Thank you for your support.
George
