Story

Hello everyone, my good friend Elias and I, have decided to run from Frodsham to Whitchurch and back again along the Sandstone Trail in one day, totalling 110km and 2000m of elevation.

We came up with the idea about a year ago and thought it would be a great opportunity to raise some money for charity.

Our chosen charity is Parkinson’s UK. Some of you may or may not be aware that my Dad has suffered with Parkinson’s for the past 10 years, alongside being a long-standing sufferer of Multiple Sclerosis. At present, Parkinson’s is incurable.

Since my Dad’s diagnosis, I have witnessed the continual improvement of medicines and treatments for the condition and think it would be amazing to raise some money for Parkinson’s UK to help with their ongoing mission of finding an eventual cure for the disease.

This is a cause close to my heart and I hope that our run can help raise awareness of Parkinson’s and how it impacts the lives of over 150,000 people in the UK.

Any donations are massively appreciated

Cheers

George & Elias

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
