Story
Many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving fundraiser.
On Saturday 23rd November I will be stepping into a boxing ring to raise funds for The Psoriasis Association.
Rewind to the end of 2023 I found myself at my heaviest weight and although I was mentally in a good position, physically I wasn't looking after myself. Living at the Queens for the majority of my life has made eating pub grub and drinking alcohol very accessible.
During the festive period I saw a TikTok which explained a lifestyle altering challenge called 75 Hard, which consisted of seventy-five consecutive days of clean eating, 90 minutes of daily exercise, small amounts of reading and zero alcohol.
On New Years Day of this year I weighed in at 112kg and decided to take on the 75 Hard challenge with the initial goal of losing 10kg.
After hours of exercise during the wet and cold months, enjoying healthy flavoursome low calorie meals and drinking nothing but water, on Friday 15th March I weighed in at 91kg losing a total of 21kg, the lightest weight of my adulthood.
Following the successful challenge, to ensure I didn't put the weight back on I looked to put my mind to an event later in the year.
I saw an advert on Facebook which was advertising a charitable boxing event for beginners. In a moment of madness, I signed up to the event and we are now just eight weeks away from fight night.
Over the next eight weeks I'll be back to a healthy and strict lifestyle, along with participating in weekly training sessions all in preparation for my bout.
The event is ran by Ultra White Collar Boxing who have helped raised a little over £36 million since 2009 for charities such as Mind, Make A Wish, British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
The event is taking place on Saturday 23rd November and is being held at The Wellington Academy school. The night will consist of many boxing bouts of all abilities and I welcome family and friends to attend for what should be an exciting event all in aid of charity.
This fundraiser is in support of The Psoriasis Association and in loving memory of my nanny Enid who suffered from a severe case of Psoriasis and peacefully passed away back in June.
The Psoriasis Association help people whose lives are affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. They do this through funding research, providing information and raising awareness.
I understand everyone has their needs and commitments, but I would deeply appreciate any donation made towards my fundraiser.
I look forward to posting updates on this page which I hope will show the hard efforts and progress made towards the big night.
I will take all the good lucks I can get!!
