My mum was was diagnosed with Stage Four Cancer and had been fighting for around 18 months before she passed in December. Because of macmillan during her 18 months she was able to still live her life and not allow the cancer to define her or control what she could and couldn’t do.

Before my mum died she planned for my family and friends to go on this walk and raise as much money as possible to help others who are suffering and to say thank you for the support they gave her.

So this year on the 25th of may, myself alongside family and friends will be taking part in the Macmillan mighty hike in memory of my Mum,
