Fundraising for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust
I'm a Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust supporter and employee, and will be embarking on the incredible Founder's Trek in March.
The Founder's Trek celebrates 100 years since the birth of Durrell's visionary founder, Gerald Durrell.
I'm excited to have the opportunity to experience first-hand Durrell's incredible conservation work, and take on the challenge of this spectacular trek...
The expedition has two phases, the first being a challenging 5-day Himalayan trek in the north east of India. We will trek to one of the best view points in the Himalaya, Dzongri La (4200m), to witness the five summits of the holy mountain, Kanchenjunga, camp under the stars and experience the amazing flora and fauna along the way.
For the second phase, we will travel by train to Guwahati and visit the pygmy hog breeding centre and the release sites in Manas National Park, where we will have the opportunity to see this threatened and elusive species. We will gain exclusive insights into critical conservation work, and meet the team behind saving the world's smallest pig, once thought to be extinct.
Please join me in raising funds which will go towards Durrell's vital wildlife conservation work.
I'm a musician, and will be raising funds through my performances and gigs from now until the trek.
Thank you for your support! Your contribution is crucial to the success of Durrell's mission - to save species from extinction.
