Story
This is his 3rd year of raising money for this special event. He loves watching the programme and telling people what he is doing. He plans it months in advance and it is the hilight of his year. He is doing what he loves, with a fundraising twist for BBC Children in Need. He has raised over £1100 over the last 2 years and would be very grateful for any donation however small for this fantastic cause.A big thank you from all of his family ,George and his amazing carers.George has a wide range of complex disabilities
George wanted to make his challenges harder and thought about how he could do this .Sadly this coincided with his seizures becoming more serious and the drugs and the level of care he needs increasing.
The new challenge he added started when the country celebrated the Coronation of the King.He decided he wanted to make
"A Throne fit for a King."
He really enjoys sessions in the woodwork room at Frame (a local social enterprise ).Where under very close supervision from skilled craftsmen and his carer he designed and has made using all the machinery, tools and equipment once a week the most amazing Throne. This is even more incredible when people realise how he has had to wear safety boots which is a big challenge for a person who has sensory issues and only ever wears crocs. This has been such a labour of love and we as a family are going to be very proud to have this in our house. He is sending photos and an email of it to The King .This is made
Challenge 2,
This year he made the lego build harder by using a Lego Technic kit ,having to follow the instructions step by step himself. He is very shaky and has poor fine motor skills.
Challenge 3,
Making a chocolate cake from scratch reading a recipe following instructions and using the oven supervised.
Challenge 4,
Walking for 3K with support following a route plan around Scolton Manor.George tires easily so this is a challenge.
Challenge 5,
Walking up and down twice the 133 steps to North beach Tenby. These steps are an absolute killer for even able bodied as they are very steep. His carer has to walk with him due to his disabilities and epilepsy to ensure he doesn't stumble and fall.
Challenge 6,
A darts challenge to help with his maths skills and motor skills.3x "Round the Clock" including The Bull in 1 hour.
He has been preparing for these for weeks .
Together we can support children and young people across the UK to rebuild their lives.
