George's fundraiser for Mind

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
Hello everyone :)
On April 6th 2025, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise as much as possible for Mind charity.
In April 2023, my bestfriend Catryn lost her incredible mum, Paula, to mental health. Even though I only had the pleasure of meeting Paula a handful of times, she was always such a kind, caring, and truly exceptional person to be around. Losing her hit us all so hard and really shone a light on the daily struggles many people face whilst still showing warmth, kindness, and humor—qualities Paula had in abundance. She had this unique, bubbly energy that could generally light up any room. She was a real 1 in a million kind of person.
Even though the thought of running 13 miles feels daunting now, with my closest friends by my side, I’m ready to take on this challenge for a cause that means so much, and in memory of such a special lady.
I chose Mind for this fundraiser because it’s a charity that now feels personal to me. Mental health issues impact 1 in 4 people, yet most who need support still go without it. Mind is essential in changing this, working tirelessly across England and Wales to provide information, advice, and services for those in need.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page. Any donation, big or small, is incredibly appreciated and will go directly toward helping those who need mental health support. If you’re experiencing mental health challenges, please reach out to family, friends, or Mind’s helpline. Mental health is something we should never stay silent about. Ever.
Thank you all so much,
George x
