Asger is my four year old grandson. You can read all about Asger by clicking on the icon above which will take you to the main campaign page. In early September I'm planning to trek the Alpine Pass Route. This path covers some 202 miles of mountains and valleys, crosses 16 passes with an accumulation of more than 59,000' from the eastern border of Switzerland near Liechtenstein to Montreux on lake Geneva. I plan to walk the majority of the route, with the assistance of public transport when practical. I will fund all the costs of the trip, so that every penny raised goes towards the appeal. Apart from his initial operation the funds raised will go to provide for Asgers costs of general education and welfare that are necessary due to his physical disabilities.

Dear supporters, Asger's family have been overwhelmed by the generous support received for the campaign and have smashed the original target in less than eight weeks!

The good news is that Asger's SDR operation was successfully completed in the first week of July and he has now started a period of intensive physiotherapy. The early signs are encouraging.

We are aware of the future on-going costs of supporting Asger in the years that lie ahead. a result we have decided to carry on the fund raising, aware that any funds not needed by Asger will be available for other children within the charity who have similar needs.
