Story

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to MARIE CURIE in connection with my walk across Morecambe Bay on Sunday 14 May 2023. If you haven't got around to it yet, we can happily still receive your donations even if the target is exceeded. The day itself was a great adventure (also enjoyed by 2 or 3 hundred others btw young and old). The weather was unexpectedly kind and the eight-mile crossing not too difficult. Deepish rushing water for quite a stretch but the quicksand we were warned about at the start thankfully did not play any part. There were quite a few skilled Baywalk volunteers keeping an eye out for us. I was also supported by my pals and fellow friends of Prince of Wales Park in Bingley, West Yorkshire. And yes my bravery extended to wearing the iconic daffodil hat!!
