Story

Join us as we run The London Marathon to help Guide Dogs UK support children and adults to live actively and independently.

Every day, 250 more people join the 2 million already living with sight loss. This number is set to double by 2050!

On 27 April we will be running 26 miles across London with an aim of raising £4,000 for this amazing charity! Please donate via this sponsorship page, all funds go directly to Guide Dogs UK

As puppy raisers we see first hand the impact this charity has on those living with sight-loss. And with no public funding, they rely on fundraising alone!

Guide Dog Facts

🦮 The cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is over £55,000.

🦮 The waiting list for a guide dog is over two years.

🦮 Over 1,000 people are currently waiting for a guide dog

How your donation could help:

🦮 £125 could buy a starter kit for a new guide dog owner, containing everything they need to start life with their new dog.

🦮 £451 could provide the parents of a child with a vision impairment with ten sessions of support.

🦮 £1000 could pay for an entire family to attend a Family weekend, where they can access specialist support and meet other families in similar situations.

Guide Dogs UK wouldn't be here without public support. There life-changing services depend on donations so thank you for supporting us.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
