Story
The Fire Fighters Charity offers support for the mental, physical and social needs of the UK's fire services community. From dealing with life-changing injury or health diagnosis to an unexpected curve ball thrown up by life.
As some of you will know, Simon suffered major trauma as a result of a paramotoring accident, sustaining two broken legs (open femur and tib/fib breaks). The Firefighters Charity were able to offer unprecedented assistance as part of his recovery journey - an invitation to a 7 day residential programme at one of their amazing rehab centres. This offered a bespoke itinerary tailored to his needs - including use of their indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, fully-equipped gym along with access to nutritional experts, physiotherapists and well being coaches.

Without this, Simon's road to the physical strength and quality of life he desired to get back to and sustain into the future could not have easily been achieved.
The programme, the drive, the motivation, the determination and opportunity to spend quality time on himself both physically and mentally lead him to come back home a completely different person.
I am pleased to report he is now able to return to work and full firefighter duties. I have no doubt in my mind that the work this fantastic charity offered was invaluable in this process to get his back on the run. 🔥 🚒🧑🚒
Me and Blaze Bear - 🐻 the charity mascot 🚒 - will be completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge in August. Summiting the highest three mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales in just 24 hours. A trek of c26miles and a total ascent height of 3,000m, to raise money for this worthy cause.
Any support greatly appreciated. Dig deep folks! Thank you.
