Recently my brother and I lost our dad in June 2023 to a short and aggressive battle with cancer. MacMillan nurses provided support and care to him and our family in his final moments. My dad loved being outdoors and exercising, so we thought it would be fitting to do a 20 mile hike in his memory.

The Ullswater Way is a 20 mile walking route that goes around the whole of Ullswater lake - the second largest lake in the district. We hope this charity walk not only raises a good chunk of money for charity, but brings people together to remember any loved ones lost to cancer, other illnesses, events or age - whilst having fun along the way!

We will also be having a second fundraising box on the day of the charity walk for St Theresa’s Hospice, Darlington in memory of our grandad who we lost late October last year. Please bring a small donation to receive t shirt for the walk and some goodies.
