Story
On 28th April 2024, I will be running the Barry Buddon Half Marathon . This year, after hearing a well loved and vital community resource Age Concern Cupar, was looking for fundraisers. I jumped....well RAN at the chance!
Age Concern Cupar is a charity that provides door-to-door day care services along with somewhere for our local older people to meet up and socialise together over lunch. They are run by a small team of paid staff along with a wonderful group of volunteers. They only receive a small amount of funding and the rest they must fund themselves through donations and fundraising.
The lasting impact of Covid and the increase in the cost of living, means their finances have been stretched to the limit. Along with the upkeep of the centre, the running and maintenance of the buses and the day to day running costs, it is a constant juggling act just to stay open.
Age Concern Cupar have set themselves a huge target of £10,000 to be raised before the end of the year.
Please help me to contribute to this target, to help keep this fantastic community resource open that is a lifeline for order people, their families and carers.
Thank you
