Gemma's fundraiser for RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution

RNLI 2025 Lymington 10k · 11 May 2025
I am taking part in the RNLI 2025 Lymington 10k in memory of my wonderful Grandad, Ivan St. Pierre ♡
Grandad was a staunch supporter of the RNLI all his life. He was a keen sailor and lover of the beautiful British coast, and played an integral role in getting an RNLI presence on the Thames. I am choosing to support Lymington Lifeboat Station in his memory.
Now the challenge... I am not a runner. I have recently started running again (after doing couch to 5k back in lockdown) to try get a little fitter but I'm far from a natural! I'm not fast and my absolute maximum distance has always been 5k. I have NEVER run more than that in my life. I appreciate for some people 10k would be relatively easy, but I can safely say this is going to be a huge challenge for me.
Many of you sponsored my sister and I back in 2019 when we took part in the Jurassic Coast Challenge in memory of our Nan, for which we were so grateful. Now I'm putting out the plea for you to donate towards my first ever solo fundraiser, in memory of our Grandad.
Every penny counts, and I will be extremely grateful for anything at all you can spare to support the amazing work of the RNLI.
THANK YOU!! ♡♡♡
