On the 25th December 2023 Mason was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia at the age of 9. Aplastic anaemia is a rare but serious blood condition that occurs when your bone marrow cannot make enough new blood cells for your body to work normally.

Over the past 5 months whilst we have waited to find a suitable donor for Mason he has been supported by The Aplastic Anaemia trust and their team, from phone calls and messages to a bravery box for Mason their support has been unwavering. Mason is now in hospital having his bone marrow transplant, and one of the side effects of the Chemotherapy is the loss of Masons beautiful red hair . In a show of solidarity Masons best friend Niall will also be shaving his head to raise money and awareness for the charity that has supported his friend .
