Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2005 we lost my Dad, Keith. He was just 48. He lived with type 1 diabetes most of his life and it was cruel to him. It broke our hearts to lose the finest gentleman you could ever meet.
Dad was the kindest daddy, husband, granddad, son, brother, friend.....
He was my hero, the wind beneath my wings.
I was going to wait until the 20th year anniversary of his passing to undertake a year of challenges in his memory but if his death taught me nothing else, it is that we must seize the day, for life is short and tomorrow is not promised.
So, with the help of some of my family and best friends, Lee and I are going to try and raise vital funds for Diabetes UK again.
At least one challenge a month which should help with fitness for the main event of the year, The Three Peaks Challenge... ⛰️🏔⛰️
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, hopefully within 24 hours.
So far in the calendar we have....
💙 January - Battersea Park Half COMPLETE (PB for Gemma!!)
💙 February - Pen-y-fan Horseshoe 10 mile hike/ Waterfalls COMPLETE
💙 February - Snowdon/Tryfan weekend (Gemma's first time!)
