Gemma's 100 day fibrofit challenge, fundraiser for Fibromyalgia Action UK

100 days fibrofit challenge
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 5 years ago. I refuse to let it control my life and have tried to stay active. I struggle to prioritise myself; everyday life and my constant pain always get in the way. So I have decided to make a change and hopefully raise some funds for a great charity as my focus to keep going. I will be completely 100 days of activities/fitness from bike rides to mountain climbs, yoga, swimming or just a simple walk but the aim is to be active every day.
Fibromyalgia is a recognised chronic condition of widespread pain and profound fatigue. A common illness with an est. prevalence of 2.9% - 4.7%. The pain tends to be felt as diffuse aching or burning, often described as head to toe. It may be worse at some times than at others and may also change location, usually becoming more severe in parts of the body that are used most. Add. symptoms often include: unrefreshing sleep, headaches, irritable bowel, cognitive disturbances, clumsiness, dizziness, allergies, sensitivity to environmental changes.
Fibromyalgia Action UK is a registered charity run primarily by unpaid volunteers. The majority of volunteers are also fibromyalgia sufferers who work extremely hard, despite their condition, in order to forward the cause of fibromyalgia. FMA UK was established in order to provide information and support to sufferers and their families. In addition, the charity provides medical information for professionals and operates a national helpline.
