Over the last few months Macmillan and the Belfast City Cancer Centre have been an invaluable resource to us
So this year I am committing to complete 1 challenge each month to raise awareness and much needed funds for these 2 charities, from running to swimming to cycling to hiking
100% of funds raised will be donated to these charities. I will be covering any costs involved in completing these challenges, for example entry fees , travel expenses etc
Starting in January , hosting a Class-A-Thon on Sunday 26th at Larne Leisure Centre. There will be 4 x 45 minute classes to challenge everyone as well as hopefully having a bit of fun. There will be tea / coffee and buns available throughout the sessions to enjoy before and after classes or if you don’t fancy a class come on down and see what’s going on
In February I will be doing a 10 min open water dip each day , fingers crossed for no storms and slightly warmer temperatures
In March I am competing in Glasgows Hyrox
April will be Omagh Half marathon
May is the Murph CrossFit WOD with Alpha Bravo fitness in Kesh Fermanagh . This workout consists of a1 mile run, 100 pull ups , 200 push ups 300 air squats finishing with a mile run
June , myself and friends will take part in the MacMillan mighty hike on the causeway coast
July , i will swim 10,000 meters in lough Erne Fermanagh
August . 8 day hike at the Dolomites , Italy
September , 8 day hike at Mont Blanc
I’ll update this when I have October , November and December confirmed
I would love to be able to raise £12,000 by the end of the year and donate £6,000 to each of the charities
