Story
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page! We are Helen, Gemma, Melody, Anna, Alice, Phoebe, Jess, and Nilani—proud members of the South West Seal Pups, a group of passionate cold-water swimmers.
Our journey began back in 2013 when my two sisters, a few friends, and I set ourselves the challenging goal of swimming the English Channel as a relay team to raise money for our school. At the start, some of us could barely swim a length of front crawl, but after months of dedication and training, we successfully completed the crossing in just over 17 hours in August 2014.
Now, my sisters and I have joined the South West Seal Pups, and this June, we’re taking on a new challenge—the Shepperton 24-hour relay swim—to raise money for Level Water. This means we’ll be swimming in one-hour shifts, continuously, for 24 hours—including through the night!
Why Level Water?
Level Water provides 1-to-1 swimming lessons for children with disabilities, giving them the skills, confidence, and independence to enjoy swimming just like us. One day, thanks to your support, these children might even be able to take on challenges like this with their own friends and family.
Just £15 covers the cost of one life-changing swimming lesson. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.
Please support us and help bring the joy of swimming to more children!
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. ❤️
