Story
On November 8th, we're sleeping out in solidarity with those for whom sleeping rough is not a choice.
No one should be without a safe, warm, dry place to call home. And yet, every night it is estimated there are around 3898 people sleeping rough in England alone. With 324,990 people assessed as homeless in the last year, the true number is likely to be much higher.
Emmaus Hertfordshire provides people with not just a bed for the night, but a home for as long as its needed and a sense of belonging in a community. We are fortunate enough to be a part of that community, living and working amongst some of the strongest, most resilient people, and seeing lives being transformed.
So, we'll be taking to our sleeping bags and asking you to make a donation, if you can, to raise vital funds for our Emmaus Hertfordshire community and the work we do to end homelessness and alleviate poverty. If you can't give money, some positive thoughts and words of encouragement will also be very much appreciated!!
