Twin Peaks 2024
Campaign by Cancer Focus Northern Ireland (RCN HMRC Registered)
Take on the challenge of the Cancer Focus NI Twin Peaks to raise money for local cancer research. The challenge will involve climbing to the summit of the two highest peaks in the Mourne Mountains Slieve Donard & Slieve Commedagh on the same day!

Story

The Mountains are Calling!! 🏔️🐾💜 so I did a thing, booked onto the @cancerfocusni Twin Peaks Challenge 😬

Ever since being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer aged 30 back in April 2022,

Blasted with surgery, chemo and radiotherapy, I’ve been desperate to get back to my happy place, the mountains. I am obviously, so so grateful to still be here, as two years is the most high risk period of reoccurrence for Adrenal Cancer, which led to me being a long term cancer patient, reliant on steroids, and pretty bad mental health 🫠.

To mark this I want to celebrate and get my butt back up the mountains while raising money for a cause that desperately needs help and affects so many of us.

I previously took part in the Mourne Seven Summits, maybe I can try that again some year 😅🙌

Every year we support over 6,000 local people affected by cancer and, with 1 in 2 of us predicted to be affected by cancer in our lifetime, your donation will help us to continue providing our services to all those who require our support now and in the future. As a local charity, we are 90% dependent on donations so your donation will help us to continue our vital work.

Thank you again from everyone at Cancer Focus NI
