Walking 100km for Jo – Supporting Mind

Jurassic Coast Challenge 2025 · 17 May 2025 to 18 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
This May, we (Gemma & Colin) are taking on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge – a 100km walk along one of the UK’s most stunning but challenging coastal routes. Every single step will be in memory of Jo, Gemma’s best friend from school, who died by suicide ten years ago.
A decade without Jo still feels unreal. Losing someone to suicide is heartbreaking; full of sadness, unanswered questions, and a deep wish that things could have been different. No one should ever feel that alone or be so unwell that they see no way forward. But far too many do.
That’s why we’re raising money for Mind. Mind fights for better mental health support so no one has to suffer in silence. They offer vital advice, services, and advocacy to help people struggling with their mental health – because help should always be there when it’s needed.
Our 100km challenge represents 10km for every year since we lost Jo. We hope, in some small way, it can make a difference.
Please donate if you can. Every pound raised helps Mind support those who need it most.
