Story

"As a woman in music and an artist myself, I am fully committed to fundamentally transforming the music industry, ensuring my role actively contributes to meaningful change. This event is my way of trying to connect people around the world to join me on this cause."

On the 22nd and 23rd of February 2024, I will be leading, performing, and joining many colleague artists in a very exciting line up as we embark on an extraordinary journey to set a Guinness World Record™ for the "Longest Acoustic Music Live-Streamed Concert".

BUT HERE’S THE TWIST: For 24 hours, we’re going to do it by playing ONLY music by women and non-binary composers. I will be there, for 24 hours, either performing or behind the scenes to passionately contribute for change.

I have always been frustrated about inequality in the world. When I started the Donne Foundation, I set myself a mission to contribute to change. I want to use my position to show the world how much incredible stories and music by women we are still missing in our lives. I want to use my voice to change the world - and if that is too ambitious, at least I want to change the musical world.

Donne, Women in Music is a renowned organisation committed to achieving gender equality in the world of music .The foundation has long championed the cause of women in music but to this day it has no regular funding. I am asking for your support to help this event be as successful as it can be. Both in raising awareness, showcasing incredible talent, engaging people around the world in this conversation and also finding funding for the Donne Foundation continue to create faster change in the music industry. It is needed!

Over 24 hours, this unprecedented musical extravaganza wants to revolutionise the world of music while advocating for gender equality. It’s a movement that will transcend borders and resonate with the spirit of change, empowerment, and equality.
