Story
Im going to be one of the Jockeys for this race. Representing the East Midlands.
I'm currently in training with a registered Racehorse trainer & I'm riding out on the Gallops twice a week on super fast Racehorses with my eyes streaming & stuff exiting my nostrils all over my face. I ache all over but I've got to get really fit as I've a fitness test I have to be passing in May.
My 3 huge concerns are...
The leg up in the paddock.......in case I go straight over the other side!
Cantering down to the start.......in case my horse decides to gallop off and my breaks fail!
Finally the 25,000 spectators there at York racecourse watching it all unfold🤢. I feel ill just writing it.

The Macmillan Charity Raceday is the oldest and largest event of its kind in the country, raising over £10 million in its 52 year history for people living with cancer.
Held every June, the highlight of the day is the Macmillan Ride of Their Lives race that sees 12 amateur jockeys ride down the famous Knavesmire course. Each year 25,000 spectators enjoy a day with us to cheer these brave riders on as they take on the challenge of their lifetime.
