Story
Many of you will know that I have recently become a dad for the second time. However, very few of you will know, or will be aware of the losses that myself and Zoe have endured to get here. Society pressures us into believing that we shouldn't talk about miscarriage, or baby loss, that time will heal and you just carry on.
Pregnancy after loss brings its own challenges and makes what should be an exciting time become a dark, stressful and overwhelming experience. I would like people to be aware that support is there for those faced with this in the hope that they don't have to feel like we did.
I'd like to change this by raising awareness of Tommy's as a charity who help fund research into miscarriage and baby loss. To do this, throughout October, I will be doing 5k a day, in some way, shape or form. Please donate if you can, but more importantly, help to spread awareness and change society to become a supportive and open environment where people affected by miscarriage can feel heard and comforted through their struggle, without feeling like we must conform to the norms.
