Upcoming Appearances:
15th March - Melksham parkrun
30th March - Clock Change Challenge 10k (Calne)
27th April - Corsham 10k
11th May - Bristol Half Marathon (Record Attempt)
On 11th May, 2025, at the Bristol Half Marathon, I will attempt to set the record for the fastest male to complete a half marathon dressed as a three-dimensional aircraft – specifically, the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance helicopter!
The current record is 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 36 seconds, set by Matt Wood in February 2024 for London Air Ambulance. I really am determined to beat it while raising at least £2,000 for this life-saving charity.
Whilst speaking with the Air Ambulance recently I told them that: "The costume is really comfortable, quite light to run in, so I’m fairly confident I should be able to do it!" I'm also incredibly proud to work for a company that supports local charities. Special thanks to Steve Vick for backing the challenge and to our sewing technician, Alice Foley, who’s spent 40 hours creating the Garycopter costume!
The Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance has been providing critical care for 35 years, and my mission is to help them continue this vital work. 🙌

ABOUT BATH & WILTSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE
We provide critical medical care by land and air, across Wiltshire and Bath. Our mission is to give people the best chance of survival. This relies on highly trained critical care paramedics and doctors supported by specialist medical equipment. Speed is our superpower. From our airbase in Semington, our helicopter can reach anywhere in Wiltshire within 11 minutes and be in the centre of Bath in just four minutes.
As a charity, we can’t do this vital work without the support of our local communities.
