Story
Having reached a milestone birthday this year, I wanted to do something that would challenge me physically and mentally, taking me out of my comfort zone and making me feel young again! The younger members of the family encouraged me to sign up for the London to Brighton bike ride.
Having not properly ridden a bike since childhood (a Chopper in the back garden!), this felt like it would be a challenge and raising money for a good cause was very much part of the plan.
Having worked at St Michael's Hospice for 7 years, I see first hand the fantastic work the charity does. Many of us will either have experienced family and friends needing palliative and end of life care and support or will need it in the future.
Please help me to reach my target. Every pound literally makes a difference with only 1/3 of the Hospice's income received from the NHS, it has to raise £5 million every year to keep going. I want to make sure it's still around for me and my family and friends should it be needed, so am asking you to be as generous as you can, if you can.
