28 miles in February

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

Alzheimers and dementia are terrible diseases. It is not simply about becoming forgetful. Bit by bit these diseases strip away everything that makes a person uniquely themselves. The person you love gradually fades away, but not only that, their personality can change radically.

Research is our only chance of changing the ending for people affected by dementia.

In February, Valerie and I will be undertaking the 28 Miles In February challenge to raise money to find a cure. Each day in February we will go on a (minimum) 1 mile walk or jog/run in addition to our usual activity.

We know that money is tight for many right now, and appreciate whatever you may be able to donate.

Your donation will help scientists and researchers find new ways to diagnose dementia, develop new treatments and find a cure for dementia.
